Désert blanc

POUR PROJET ISO / FLÛTE, ALTO, HARPE ET ÉLECTRONIQUE
13:20 | 2023

Désert blanc is a musical composition for Project ISO (flute, harp, and viola), that captures the essence of a vast and desolate landscape. This piece invites the listener on an introspective journey, evoking the resonance between an austere and expansive environment and our inner world.

Here, I sought to depict moments of stillness and clarity, as well as the harshness and solitude of the desert expanse of Death Valley, which I visited just before beginning the composition of this piece. The airy and ethereal tones of the flute, the resonances of the harp, and the voice of the viola intertwine and respond to each other, creating a sonic landscape where each intervention echoes with this profound and complex beauty.
